The apostles and the church, when threatened by external pressures and persecutions, didn’t pray to be spared of the troubles. Instead, they prayed for the manifestation of the power of God. Unlike most of us who would choose to pray for deliverance in such times, they chose instead to counter it with the power of God. They understood something deeper – they are the proof producers of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and the Gospel of the Kingdom. May we too see life’s challenges as opportunities for manifestations of the power of the Kingdom of God. When the pressure rises, pray for greater manifestations and power of God!

Para rasul dan gereja, apabila diancam oleh tekanan luar dan penganiayaan, tidak berdoa agar terhindar dari masalah. Sebaliknya, mereka berdoa untuk manifestasi kuasa Tuhan. Tidak seperti kebanyakan kita yang akan memilih untuk berdoa untuk pembebasan pada masa-masa sedemikian, mereka memilih untuk menentangnya dengan kuasa Tuhan. Mereka memahami sesuatu yang lebih mendalam – mereka adalah pengeluar bukti kuasa kebangkitan Yesus Kristus dan Injil Kerajaan.
