The work in God’s Kingdom is a collective, collaborative partnership of the people of God with the Lord Himself. The above verse records the partnership between those who went to Jerusalem physically to rebuild the foundation of the temple and those who didn’t go physically but supported those who went. This is the truth about God’s work – it is the concern and commitment of all who are of the Kingdom. Everyone who belongs to the Kingdom must be involved in the building and expansion of it. The only differentiation is the role each plays in the venture. Indifference and individualism are not the traits among God’s people in matters of God’s Kingdom, but supportive commitment, collaboration, and generosity are!

Pekerjaan dalam Kerajaan Tuhan adalah perkongsian kolektif (tindakan bersama) dan kolaboratif (usahasama) umat Tuhan dengan Tuhan Sendiri. Ayat di atas mencatatkan kerjasama antara mereka yang pergi ke Yerusalem secara fizikal untuk membina semula asas bait suci dan mereka yang tidak pergi secara fizikal tetapi menyokong mereka yang pergi. Ini adalah kebenaran tentang pekerjaan Tuhan – ia adalah keprihatinan dan komitmen semua orang di dalam Kerajaan. Setiap anggota di dalam Kerajaan mesti terlibat dalam pembinaan dan perluasannya. Satu-satunya pembezaan ialah peranan masing-masing dalam usahasama itu. Sikap acuh tak acuh dan individualisme bukanlah sifat umat Tuhan dalam hal Kerajaan Tuhan, tetapi adalah komitmen yang menyokong, bekerjasama, dan murah hati.
