The Apostle requested for Mark to be with him because he was useful to him for the ministry! Are you useful for the ministry? Unfortunately, this cannot be said about everyone, though it should be for all of God’s people. We are all called not only to believe in the Lord but also to contribute to the work of the ministry of the Church, none exempted. For this reason, there are always opportunities to learn, train, and serve in the church. We need to recognize the truth that we are all endowed with certain gifts and talents which make us useful for the ministry. We are also candidates to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the work of the ministry.

You can be useful for the ministry!

Rasul meminta Markus untuk bersamanya kerana dia berguna baginya dalam pelayanan! Adakah anda berguna dalam pelayanan? Sayang sekali, ini tidak boleh dikatakan bagi semua orang, walaupun ia sepatutnya untuk semua umat Tuhan. Kita semua dipanggil bukan sahaja untuk percaya kepada Tuhan tetapi juga untuk menyumbang kepada pekerjaan pelayanan di gereja, tiada yang dikecualikan. Atas sebab ini, sentiasa ada peluang untuk belajar, berlatih, dan melayani di gereja. Kita perlu menyedari kebenaran bahawa kita semua dikurniakan karunia dan bakat tertentu yang menjadikan kita berguna dalam pelayanan. Kita juga merupakkan calon untuk menerima karunia Roh Kudus bagi pekerjaan pelayanan.
