Financial magnanimity. It is noteworthy to see the giving of the people was recorded too. The good and great work of the kingdom of God is deserving of extravagant generosity. There can be no price attached to the eternal value of the souls of people.
The Lord Jesus Christ states this irrevocably in regard to the worth of a person’s soul. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (and is himself destroyed or lost?) Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26, Mark 8:36, Luke 9:25).For the value of a soul, Jesus gave His life on the cross. How magnanimous is Your love, O Lord!
God has commissioned His people to finance His work. We are given the privilege to impact people for good that carries forward into their eternity. We protect and preserve our spiritual heritage with generosity. “For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense” (Ecclesiastes 7:12a). The most wonderful thing is that God remembers and records all our generous gifts. His rewards follow after Him.
“If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.” (1 Corinthians 3:14)
God is generosity personified; may His children imitate Him.
慷慨的财务奉献. 值得注意的是，百姓的奉献被一一记录下来。神国度伟大而美善的工作，配得我们慷慨、甚至是超越常理的奉献。因为人的灵魂具有永恒的价值，是无法用价格来衡量的。
主耶稣清楚地指出一个人灵魂的价值：“人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？”（马太福音 16:26；马可福音 8:36；路加福音 9:25）为了一个灵魂的价值，耶稣甘愿在十字架上舍命。主啊，祢的爱是何等的浩大与慷慨！
神也托付祂的百姓去供应祂的工作。祂赐给我们一个特权，使我们可以参与影响人的生命，并带来延续到永恒的果效。借着我们慷慨奉献，属灵的产业得以被保护并延续。“因为智慧护庇人，好像银钱护庇人一样。” （传道书 7:12 上）最奇妙的是，神记念并记录我们一切慷慨的奉献，祂的赏赐也随着而来。
“人在那根基上所建造的工程若存得住，他就要得赏赐。” （哥林多前书 3:14）
神本身就是慷慨的彰显，愿祂的儿女效法祂。
Kemurahan hati dalam kewangan. Wajar diberi perhatian bahawa pemberian umat-Nya juga dicatatkan. Pekerjaan baik dan besar dalam Kerajaan Tuhan layak menerima kemurahan hati yang melimpah. Tiada nilai harga yang dapat diletakkan pada nilai kekal jiwa manusia.
Tuhan Yesus Kristus menyatakan hal ini dengan tegas mengenai nilai jiwa seseorang: “Apa gunanya seorang memperoleh seluruh dunia tetapi kehilangan nyawanya? Dan apakah yang dapat diberikannya sebagai ganti nyawanya?” (Matius 16:26, Markus 8:36, Lukas 9:25). Demi nilai seorang jiwa, Yesus telah menyerahkan nyawa-Nya di atas kayu salib. Betapa agungnya kasih-Mu, ya Tuhan!
Tuhan telah mempercayakan umat-Nya untuk membiayai pekerjaan-Nya. Kita diberi keistimewaan untuk memberi impak yang baik kepada kehidupan orang lain yang berterusan hingga ke kehidupan kekal mereka. Kita melindungi dan memelihara warisan rohani kita dengan kemurahan hati. “Karena perlindungan hikmat adalah seperti perlindungan uang” (Pengkhotbah 7:12a). Perkara yang paling indah ialah Tuhan mengingati dan mencatat semua pemberian kita yang murah hati. Ganjaran-Nya akan menyusul kemudian.
“Jika pekerjaan yang dibangun seseorang tahan uji, ia akan mendapat upah.” (1 Korintus 3:14)
Pada Tuhan wujudnya sifat murah hati; semoga anak-anak-Nya meneladani sifat-Nya itu.
