After the Word of God convicted them of their grievous sins, they repented not just with confessions but with a written covenant. Nehemiah 10:1-27 consists of the names of those who signed and sealed their promise to obey God. The rest of the people joined their leaders too (Nehemiah 10:28-39).
The Word of God is convicting. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Conviction comes from hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17). Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10). Therefore preach, teach God’s Word. The Word of God is a powerful sword.
Share God’s word boldly (not your opinions) with your family, friends and colleagues. Don’t hide your faith in Christ. We are all broken people. Only the Gospel of Christ can heal broken people. Throw a stone and you easily hit a broken person. Proclaim and explain God’s Word with compassion.
神的話語使他們意識到自己所犯的滔天罪行後，他們不僅口頭認罪，還立下書面盟約悔改。尼希米記 10:1-27 記載了那些簽署盟約、承諾順服神的人的名字。其餘的百姓也與他們的領袖一同立約（尼希米記 10:28-39）。
神的道能使人知罪。 ”因为 神的道是活的，是有效的，比一切两刃的剑更锋利，甚至可以刺入剖开魂与灵，关节与骨髓，并且能够辨明心中的思想和意念。” (希伯來書 4:12）
聆聽神的道會帶來確信（羅馬書 10:17）。敬虔的忧伤能生出悔改，從而帶來救恩（哥林多後書 7:10）。因此，要傳講、教導神的話。神的話是一把強而有力的利劍。
要大膽地與家人、朋友和同事分享神的話語（而不是你的觀點）。不要隱藏你對基督的信仰。我們都是破碎的人。只有基督的福音才能醫治破碎的人。丟一塊石頭很容易就能擊中一個破碎的人。要滿懷憐憫地宣講和解釋神的話。
Setelah disedarkan oleh Firman Tuhan tentang dosa-dosa besar mereka, mereka bertaubat bukan sahaja dengan pengakuan, tetapi dengan satu perjanjian bertulis. Nehemia 10:1-27 mengandungi nama-nama mereka yang menandatangani dan memeterai perjanjian untuk taat kepada Tuhan. Seluruh umat turut menyertai pemimpin-pemimpin mereka (Nehemia 10:28-39).
Firman Tuhan itu memberi kesedaran. “Sebab firman Tuhan hidup dan berkuasa dan lebih tajam daripada pedang bermata dua mana pun; ia menusuk hingga memisahkan jiwa dan roh, sendi-sendi dan sumsum, serta sanggup menilai fikiran dan niat hati.” (Ibrani 4:12)
Kesedaran timbul daripada pendengaran akan Firman Tuhan (Roma 10:17). Sebab penyesalan yang mendalam terhadap Tuhan menghasilkan pertobatan yang membawa keselamatan (2 Korintus 7:10). Oleh itu, beritakanlah dan ajarlah Firman Tuhan. Firman Tuhan adalah pedang yang berkuasa.
Kongsikan Firman Tuhan dengan berani kepada keluarga, rakan-rakan, dan rakan sekerja anda. Jangan sembunyikan iman anda dalam Kristus. Kita semua pernah terluka. Hanya Injil Kristus yang dapat menyembuhkan jiwa yang terluka. Lemparlah sebutir batu dan dengan mudah ia terkena orang yang sedang terluka jiwanya. Isytiharkan dan perjelaskan Firman Tuhan dengan penuh kasih.
