Jesus had just fed 4,000 people. As the disciples sailed to another place, they were upset that they only had one loaf in their boat. Jesus then asked them: “When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” “Twelve,” they replied. “And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” They answered, “Seven.” He said to them, “Do you still not understand?”” (Mark 8). The disciples quickly forgot that they do not need to be anxious or worried for Jesus will take good care of them.

Yesus baru sahaja memberi makan 4,000 orang. Semasa para murid belayar ke tempat lain, mereka kecewa kerana mereka hanya mempunyai satu buku roti dalam perahu mereka. Yesus kemudian bertanya kepada mereka, “pada waktu Aku memecah-mecahkan lima roti untuk lima ribu orang itu, berapa bakul penuh potongan-potongan roti kamu kumpulkan?” Jawab mereka: ”Dua belas bakul.” ”Dan pada waktu tujuh roti untuk empat ribu orang itu, berapa bakul penuh potongan-potongan roti kamu kumpulkan?” Jawab mereka: ”Tujuh bakul.” Lalu kata-Nya kepada mereka: ”Masihkah kamu belum mengerti?” (Markus 8). Para murid dengan cepat terlupa bahawa mereka tidak perlu risau atau bimbang kerana Yesus akan menjaga mereka dengan baik.
