Jesus teaches us reverence for God. Why an attitude of reverence? Because “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens” (Psalm 8:1). God doesn’t want us to be terrified of Him. But He wants us to always posture with respect and honour before Him. Put on an attitude of reverence for God in the house of worship, to God’s ministers, and to one another. Something good happens in our spirit when we let this attitude of reverence express itself in our worship and prayers during our public worship.

Have you been mindful of your attitude in God’s house?

耶稣教导我们要敬畏上帝。为什么是敬畏的态度？因为“耶和华 ─ 我们的主啊，你的名在全地何其美！你将你的荣耀彰显於天。”（诗篇8:1）。神不希望我们惧怕祂。但是祂要我们在祂面前总要有尊敬和荣耀的姿态。在敬拜的殿里，在神的仆人面前，在彼此面前，都要摆出敬畏神的态度。当我们让这种敬畏的态度在我们的敬拜和祷告中表达出来时，我们在属灵上就得益处。 

你在神的殿中有留意自己的态度吗？ 

Yesus mengajarkan kita menghormati Tuhan. Mengapa sikap hormat? Kerana “Ya Tuhan, Tuhan kami, betapa mulianya nama-Mu di seluruh bumi! Keagungan-Mu yang mengatasi langit dinyanyikan.” (Mazmur 8:1). Tuhan tidak mahu kita merasa ketakutan terhadap-Nya. Tetapi Dia mahu kita sentiasa bersikap menghargai dan penuh hormat di hadapan-Nya. Kenakanlah sikap hormat kepada Tuhan di rumah ibadah, kepada pelayan Tuhan, dan kepada satu sama lain. Sesuatu yang baik terjadi di dalam roh kita apabila kita membiarkan sikap hormat ini diekspresikan dalam penyembahan dan doa kita semasa beribadah.
