Good and great works can only be accomplished by good and great teams. Effective teamwork is not by chance but by choice. Some of these non-negotiable choices are responsibility, reliability, resilience, accountability, and loyalty. The narrative in Chapter 3 is peppered with such characteristics seen in the groups of builders who are “next to one another” or “one after another.” The concept of unity is a combination of these aforementioned factors. Unity is the result of such disciplines. These factors are indispensable for the work of building God’s kingdom.

All it takes for us to accomplish this mission is for every cell group and ministry group to work diligently with discipline without letting up. Shall we, like our predecessors, strengthen our hands to this good work? (Nehemiah 2:18d)
