In preparation for imminent terror warfare planned by their enemies in verse 11, (‘And our adversaries said, “They will neither know nor see anything, till we come into their midst and kill them and cause the work to cease.”’),Nehemiah gave a standing order in verse 20: unite and fight!
Unity in God’s community is the SOP in God’s kingdom business. Unity is about standing together shoulder to shoulder, side by side without breaking ranks.
Unity in the church is Jesus’s passionate prayer:
John 17:11
Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
This God’s instruction on how to live and conduct ourselves in His church. Unity is our DNA.
- We were born again into unity.
1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. - We were baptized into unity.
1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body.
Sowing and causing discord amongst God’s people is Satan’s well-used strategy. Therefore, let our unity be stronger than any opposition or challenge. We must always protect the church by “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)
Love God. Love His church. Let us build together with God and one another. A rope of three strands is stronger than two.
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though an attacker can overpower one person, two people together can stand up against him. A rope with three strands is not quickly snapped.

在上帝的子民中散布和制造不和是撒但惯用的策略。因此，让我们的团结比任何反对或挑战都更加强大。我们必须始终“用和平彼此联络，竭力保守圣灵所赐合而为一的心”来保护教会。 （以弗所书 4:3）
爱上帝。爱他的教会。让我们与上帝、彼此同心建造。三股绳子比两股绳子更坚固。
传道书 4:12
有人能制伏孤身一人，如果有二人就挡得住他。三股合成的绳子，不容易扯断。
Kesatuan dalam komuniti Tuhan adalah SOP (Prosedur Operasi Standard) dalam urusan kerajaan Tuhan. Kesatuan adalah tentang berdiri teguh bersama, berganding bahu, sebelah menyebelah tanpa memutuskan barisan.
Kesatuan dalam gereja adalah doa Yesus yang penuh semangat:
Yohanes 17:11
Dan Aku tidak ada lagi di dalam dunia, tetapi mereka masih ada di dalam dunia, dan Aku datang kepada-Mu. Ya Bapa yang kudus, peliharalah mereka dalam nama-Mu, yaitu nama-Mu yang telah Engkau berikan kepada-Ku, supaya mereka menjadi satu sama seperti Kita.
Ini adalah arahan Tuhan tentang bagaimana kita harus hidup dan membawa diri di dalam gereja-Nya. Kesatuan adalah DNA kita.
- Kita telah dilahirkan kembali ke dalam kesatuan.
1 Korintus 12:12 Karena sama seperti tubuh itu satu dan anggota-anggotanya banyak, dan segala anggota itu, sekalipun banyak, merupakan satu tubuh, demikian pula Kristus. - Kita dibaptiskan dalam kesatuan.
1 Korintus 12:13 telah dibaptis menjadi satu tubuh dan kita semua diberi minum dari satu Roh.
Menyemai dan menyebabkan perpecahan di kalangan umat Tuhan adalah strategi yang sering digunakan oleh iblis. Oleh itu, biarlah kesatuan kita lebih kuat daripada sebarang tentangan atau cabaran. Kita harus sentiasa melindungi gereja dengan “berusahalah memelihara kesatuan Roh oleh ikatan damai sejahtera.” (Efesus 4:3)
Kasihilah Tuhan. Kasihilah gereja-Nya. Marilah kita membangun bersama dengan Tuhan dan sesama kita. Tiga utas tali lebih kuat daripada dua.
Pengkhutbah 4:12 (BM) Orang yang sendirian mudah dikalahkan, tetapi dua orang dapat menentang serangan. Tiga utas tali yang dipintal menjadi satu, susah diputuskan.
